Activity description

Canoe or kayak down the Rouge River in the Laurentians on your own for 12 km!

A relaxing and incredible nature activity in the Laurentians, canoeing on the Rouge River is an experience not to be missed near Mont-Tremblant. The 161 km long Rouge River originates at Lac de la Fougère and flows through the Laurentians to the Ottawa River between Ottawa and Montreal. Your canoe trip on the Rouge River will take place over 12 km in La Conception, for half a day at your own pace!

This self-guided canoe trip down the Rouge River usually takes between 2.5 and 4 hours, depending on how many breaks you take. You can rent either a canoe, a two-seater that can accommodate a third person by sitting on the ground, or a single or two-seater kayak that is more stable than a canoe.

Surrounded by a very pleasant rural setting with small farms and typical Quebec cottages, the Rouge River offers you a very nice canoe-kayak trip in the Laurentians. An experience to try without hesitation, whether alone, with family or friends!

- Transfer by shuttle of 7 minutes to the starting point of the canoe trip

- Equipment and safety briefing

- Complete autonomous descent of the Rouge River over 12 km, from 2.5 to 4 hours depending on your pace

- End of the trip and return of the equipment

Activity requirements

Minimum weight: 20 lbs (for lifejackets)

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Special terms

Please note that the canoes have 2 seats: the 3rd person or children (maximum 2) will have to sit on the often wet floor of the canoe.

Quiet dogs on a leash are welcome to join this activity.
