Activity description
Discover the Mont Catherine via ferrata, in winter, in the heart of the Laurentians, between Montreal and Mont-Tremblant!
Tyroparc invites you to discover an incredible activity combining hiking, climbing, ice climbing and mountaineering, for incredible sensations during the Quebec winter in the Laurentians. Via Ferrata is a hike on a rock face equipped with metal holds and a steel cable to facilitate progress and improve user safety.
You'll start with a 450-metre walk to the foot of the cliff. From there, you'll attach yourself to the continuous lifeline and embark on the Mont Catherine via ferrata, 60 metres high, the equivalent of a 20-storey building. Along the way, you'll move around on rungs and handholds, crossing wooden beams and different types of bridges, to discover incredible views as you ascend.
At the top of Mont Catherine, you can admire the superb winter scenery of the Laurentians and the Sainte Agathe-des-Monts region before descending 700 metres to the welcome chalet.
For even more thrills, you can also choose the "Winter Discovery" option, which allows you to explore the via ferrata, then come back down on two mega zip lines 650 and 900 metres above the Laurentians!
The Tyroparc team looks forward to welcoming you to the Laurentians for an incredible experience on the Mont Catherine via ferrata!
