Visit Lapland’s must-see Arctic Snowhotel masterpiece with an exciting snowmobiling excursion from Rovaniemi. Welcoming adventurers from ages 15 and up!
Rovaniemi is the largest and capital city of the magical Lapland region, located in northern Finland. This popular destination is situated right next to the Arctic Circle, creating ideal winter conditions with snowy forests and frozen lakes. Snowmobiling is the perfect way to explore the backcountry of Rovaniemi off the beaten track.
The trip begins by being picked up from your location in Rovaniemi, or meeting your guide at the starting point (please specify when booking). You’ll start with a safety briefing and driving lesson, before receiving your gear for snowmobiling. Each snowmobile will be driven in pairs, with one driver and one passenger and the chance to switch during the tour. You will follow your guide into the snowy surroundings and the full-day adventure begins!
Discover the remote wilderness of Lapland on secluded tracks. This is a longer drive which allows you to truly master the techniques of snowmobile driving, while taking in the scenic spots. You will drive to the famous Arctic Snowhotel, a unique accommodation located in Rovaniemi. It is situated in the Arctic Circle and is part of the Arctic Snowhotel & Glass Igloos complex.
When you arrive, you can explore the iconic structure. Similar to other hotels in Lapland, the Arctic Snowhotel is constructed entirely from snow and ice. The hotel is typically built anew each year using natural materials such as ice from the nearby river. You will learn about its construction and the history of the hotel. After your tour, you will enjoy a delicious lunch of glow-fried salmon served in a warm wooden Kota tepee. After your meal, you will drive back to the city and return to your accommodation in Rovaniemi.
This is an exciting full-day trip to discover the magical Snowhotel in Rovaniemi while mastering fun snowmobiles through the Lappish wilderness!

Activity requirements
Snowmobile drivers must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license (category B). Please bring the physical copy with you on the day of the activity.
Passengers must be at least 140cm / 4'9" to sit on the snowmobile.
