About the activity
Nestled in the foothills of the Tanargue massif, the River Borne winds its way through the heart of a wild and unspoilt valley, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and granite cliffs sculpted by Cévennes erosion. This canyoning descent in the Ardèche offers an authentic and refreshing setting, far from the summer crowds of the more popular gorges. Starting from the village of La Souche, this route immerses you in a remarkable natural environment within the Monts d’Ardèche Regional Nature Park.
The adventure begins with a warm welcome and a thorough, personalised fitting of your equipment, before setting off on a short walk to the riverbed. Once in the water, you’ll enjoy a series of slides carved into the rock, white-water swimming in deep natural pools and optional jumps tailored to your preferences. Accompanied at all times by a professional instructor, you’ll make your way with complete peace of mind through the rocky gorge, navigating the water crossings and enjoying the lush green views of the upper valley.
Specially designed for occasional participants aged 10 and over, this course offers a fun and flexible approach to the sport, where every technical obstacle can be bypassed. All technical personal protective equipment is fully provided by our partner. To ensure a friendly atmosphere and high-quality supervision, sessions take place in small groups or as a bespoke private outing tailored to your group.
This excursion is available every day from 6 May to 18 September, the ideal time to enjoy perfect water conditions in the Ardèche Cévennes. Book your Ardèche canyoning trip now to enjoy an invigorating experience along the Borne!
