Activity description
Go on an adventure with Les Intraterrestres by exploring the Haut Chassezac canyon between the Ardèche and the Cévennes!
The canyon of Haut Chassezac is the must of canyoning in the Cevennes. Located in the south of the Massif Central, near the lake of Villefort, it is a must in Lozère if you want to realize a sporting canyoning descent!
Indeed, the canyon of Haut Chassezac is an uninterrupted succession of jumps, slides, abseils and swims in deep basins with different shapes. No experience in canyoning is required to tackle it, but it is necessary to be in good physical condition to be able to assume the day which awaits you!
The descent of this deep and wild gorge of the Haut Chassezac will impress you not only by its intense canyoning course, but also by its enchanting natural setting between the Cevennes and the Monts d'Ardèche.
Canyoning descent of 7 hours in the canyon of Haut Chassezac (plan a full day of activity).
Approach walk : 30 minutes with a 400 m difference in altitude
Return walk : 1h15 and quite difficult
You must be in good physical condition, but no experience in canyoning is required.

The maximum weight for wetsuits is 100 kg.
