Activity description
Whether you are a beginner or have been a caving enthusiast for some time, come and explore the underground river of Vicdessos and its different caving routes!
With a depth of 76 meters and more than a kilometer of gallery, the underground river of Vicdessos offers several caving routes to discover it, with or without the use of ropes. A series of small abseils will lead you to an underground canyon punctuated by small waterfalls and beautiful galleries under the mountain of the Olbier rock. This unique cave in the Ariège is a little jewel with its black limestone walls veined with white which it is possible to see in several places during the crossing, starting with an upper hole opening into the mountain and ending with another hole at the bottom of the valley.
If you want to enjoy a nice caving trip in the Vicdessos valley, not far from the Spanish border, opt for the Vicdessos underground river!

Course of events
- Welcome and equipment: 25 min
- Approach walk: 15 min
- Underground exploration: 2 hours depending on the audience
- Return walk: 5 min
- Time to discuss and debrief the adventure: 30 min

You must not have any medical contraindication to the practice of caving.
