Meet your divemaster at the activity base in Thira for this discover scuba diving experience. An essential introduction to scuba diving, this one-dive or two-dive package is ideal for curious beginners of all ages and abilities. The ideal way to try scuba diving before committing to a full course, this experience can even be counted towards your final PADI certification if you decide to continue.
During the day, you will learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. Once you've gone through the essentials with your instructor, you'll head to the boat for a shallow dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters. On this supervised dive, you'll get to explore the local reef and coral gardens, observing marine life like nudibranchs, invertebrates, crabs, shrimp, eels, seahorses and colourful reef fish. There is also the option for a second dive for those looking to explore further - travelling out to Gialos Reef.
