Bodø is a vibrant coastal city situated in northern Norway. Known for its stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and breathtaking scenery, Bodø offers visitors a unique blend of experiences. Due to its proximity close to the Arctic Circle, it is also a great place for catching the awe-inspiring Northern Lights!
The tour begins at the starting point in Bodø, where you'll meet the experienced guide. Previous biking experience is not necessary, but you must have a moderate fitness level to participate. After a quick safety briefing, you'll receive your electric mountain bike and equipment (helmet and gloves). Then, the adventure begins!
On this trip, you will cycle straight out of the centre and into nature, up to the Keisevarden mountain top, for a show-stopping view away from the city lights. If the conditions make it too tough to ascend the 360-metre-high mountain, you'll follow the shoreline north of Bodø, to enjoy a nice view over Landegode Fjord.
The expert guides will track the aurora forecast in advance to give you the best chance of witnessing the Northern Lights. When you arrive at the best viewpoint, you should have an amazing view of this breathtaking natural phenomenon! Under the dance of the Aurora Borealis, you'll enjoy a hot coffee and traditional snacks. You'll then head back to the starting point in Bodø.
