This remote village, nestled north of the Arctic Circle and surrounded by the pristine wilderness of Urho Kekkonen National Park, offers a setting where silence is broken only by the rhythmic patter of husky paws and the gentle swish of sled runners on powdery snow. Travelling by dog sled here is an immersive journey through a landscape shaped by ice and wind. Typical routes weave through ancient pine forests, across frozen lakes, and over rolling fells, with the air crisp and invigorating against your cheeks. Depending on the chosen excursion, outings can last from a short introduction to half-day or full-day expeditions, each revealing new textures and colours—soft blue shadows on the snow, the golden glow of a low winter sun, and the deep silence of the taiga. The sensation of guiding a team of eager huskies is both exhilarating and meditative, balancing moments of swift movement with pauses to absorb the stillness and vastness of Lapland’s wilderness.

This truly was an experience of a lifetime! The weather was super cold (-28) and the scenery simply stunning! The dogs were so excited to be on their way and the route way better than I expected. Really clear instructions and the chance to swap drivers mid way through. Wonderful to fuss the dogs after the ride and the hot drink and information talk afterwards was great. Could not recommend this enough!
