Discover a winter outdoor activity not to be missed in Quebec, ice climbing, in the exceptional setting of Parc de la Chute Montmorency!
In Quebec City itself, Aventurex invites you to try ice climbing in the Parc de la Chute Montmorency, on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. Not only will you have the pleasure of discovering the joys of this winter sport, but you will also be able to practice it as close as possible to the impressive Montmorency Falls!
With an experienced and certified instructor to supervise you, you will learn the basics of ice climbing (equipment, safety, movements, etc.) and make several ascents on the ice wall in front of you. This original activity will offer you an outdoor outing without even having to leave Quebec City and will allow you to warm up!
If you want to try a winter sport in Quebec, ice climbing in the Montmorency Falls Park will fulfill your expectations!
Plan on a total of 5 hours of activity.
- Presentation of the site and the day's activities
- Installation of the equipment
- Training on positioning and basic movements
- Training on rope knots
- Vocabulary and safety instructions
- Several supervised climbs
- Scheduled to end at 3:30 p.m.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Special terms
This activity is weather dependent: heavy rain or thunderstorms will result in the cancellation of the activity.
Climbing boots can be hired on site for a supplement of $18 CAD + tax.
Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment time.
