Tobogganing in Quebec City, on the Dufferin Terrace opposite the Château Frontenac: a choice of 1 or 4 tickets that can be shared with your group (the toboggan can accommodate 1 to 4 people).

This ticket is valid for the entire day of your choice, there is no fixed time slot, so you can come whenever you like during opening hours.
Course of events
No need to book a specific time. Simply show up on the day you selected, at the time that suits you, within the slide’s opening hours.
- Meeting with an Au 1884 employee at the foot of the slide to receive your physical ticket
- Handing over the toboggan
- Bring your toboggan to the top of the slide
- Hand over your ticket and toboggan to an employee who will give you safety instructions
- Installation in the toboggan (1 to 4 participants per toboggan)
- The 250-metre (800 ft.) slide is off to a flying start (about 30 seconds at speeds of up to 70 km/h!)
- The toboggan comes to a complete stop at the end of the run
- Return the toboggan to the employee present (unless you have another ticket for another run, in which case you will be able to go back up the slide) and the activity ends
- After the slide, you can purchase a hot chocolate or coffee at the bottom of the run and enjoy a warm, friendly moment.
Activity requirements
Participants must be able to walk uphill on a 15-degree gradient for 90 metres pulling their toboggan.
Children (under 10) must be accompanied by an adult in the toboggan.
Special terms
Your ticket is valid for the whole day with no set time. Access to the slide is on a first-come, first-served basis depending on attendance.
This activity is free for children under 2 years old.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant people or infants under the age of one, and not accessible to people who are unable to walk.
Depending on how busy it is, you may need to wait before receiving your toboggan, usually between 5 and 20 minutes, but wait times can exceed 45 minutes on the busiest days (between December 21 and January 4).
During the holiday season and the Québec Winter Carnival, the slide can get quite busy. To make the most of your experience during these peak times, we recommend purchasing just one ticket per person. Please note that online tickets do not allow you to skip the line.
