Course of events
Please allow a full day for this activity.
- Meet at Place d'Armes (9am) or Gare du Palais (9.10am) in Quebec City
- Departure from Quebec City to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier (45-minute to 1-hour drive)
- Arrive at the national park
- Presentation of the equipment and route at the welcome pavilion
- Possibility of leaving belongings on the shuttle if required
- Toilets available at the Discovery Centre before departure
- Start of the guided hike lasting approximately 3 hours
- Hot drinks included during the activity with tastings of local products
- Snowshoe hiking through snow-covered forests, icy rivers and spectacular views over the glacial valley
- End of guided hike and lunch break: Quebec-style pea soup, cracker, cheese, vegetables, fruit juice, sweet snack
- Toilets available at the Discovery Centre before departure
- Departure from Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier
- Return journey to Quebec City (scheduled arrival between 4pm and 4.30pm)

Parental authorisation is required for minors under 18 taking part in the activity without an accompanying adult.

Winter activities include transport from Old Quebec. When you make your reservation, a seat is automatically reserved on the shuttle. Departure is at 9am from Place d'Armes or 9.10am from Gare du Palais. Please contact us if you wish to make your own way to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier (no discount).

About the activity
Quatre Natures offers you a unique and typically Quebec experience in the Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier, combining snowshoeing on the sentier des Loups with discovery of the region with an expert guide and tasting of Quebec culinary specialities.
Departing from Old Quebec, you'll take the road to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier. Once there, your instructor will show you the equipment and help you get fitted. You'll then set off on a 3-hour snowshoe hike through the Jacques-Cartier valley to discover one of the region's most famous national parks.
During your snowshoe hike in Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier, you'll be able to enjoy the incredible forest scenery, discover incredible views of Parc Jacques-Cartier and, if you're lucky, come across a few animals (moose, white-tailed deer, chickadee, jay, fox, hare). Of course, your professional guide will be on hand throughout the experience to pass on his knowledge of these animals, as well as the geology of the valley, the history of the park and winter safety.
At the end of your snowshoe hike in Quebec, you'll stop for lunch and a hot drink. All the products you will eat are locally sourced, so you can sample the flavours of the region. Afterwards, you'll join the shuttle bus that will drop you off in Quebec City's old town.
