Course of events
Please allow a full day for this activity.
- Meet at Place d'Armes (9am) or Gare du Palais (9.10am) in Quebec City
- Departure from Quebec City to the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve (45-minute to 1-hour drive)
- Arrival: presentation of equipment and route (15 minutes)
- Possibility of leaving belongings on the shuttle if required
- Toilets available before departure
- Start of the guided hike, lasting around 3 hours
- Hot drinks included during the activity with tasting of local products
- Snowshoeing in the boreal forest with alternating ascents and descents
- End of guided hike and lunch break: Quebec-style pea soup, cracker, cheese, vegetables, fruit juice, sweet snack.
- Toilets available before departure
- Departure from the reserve
- Return journey to Quebec City (scheduled arrival between 4pm and 4.30pm)
Activity requirements
Parental authorisation is required for minors under 18 taking part in the activity without an accompanying adult.
Special terms
If you have any dietary restrictions, please inform the monitor within a few days of booking.
Winter activities include transport from Old Quebec. When you make your reservation, a seat is automatically reserved on the shuttle. Departure is at 9am from Place d'Armes or 9.10am from Gare du Palais. Please contact us if you wish to make your own way to Parc national de la Jacques-Cartier (no discount).
Quatre Natures believes that there is no such thing as bad weather in winter. The activity always takes place. In the event of a situation where the temperature is extreme (-45 C⁰) or the amount of snow is not adequate, the Quatre Nature team will contact you directly.
