Conquer the mighty Halti Fell, the highest point in Finland, on this exhilarating 6-hour snowmobile safari from Kilpisjärvi in Enontekiö! Participants can choose between single-driver, shared snowmobile, or snowmobile sled passenger options.
Located near Kilpisjärvi (Enontekiö municipality) the Halti Fell is situated on the border between Norway and Finland, with its summit marking the highest point in Finland, a total of 1,324 metres (4,343 feet) above sea level. The fell is part of the Scandinavian Mountains and is surrounded by a pristine Arctic wilderness. This snowmobile excursion will allow you to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of Finnish Lapland in the company of an experienced guide.
Once you've been picked up at one of the listed meeting points in Kilpisjärvi (please specify when booking), you'll board the transfer to the Kilpissafarit base. Upon your arrival, you'll be greeted by your expert guide and put on your winter gear (thermal overalls, boots, wool socks, mittens, and a balaclava). Then, you and your group (a maximum of 30 participants) will receive a safety briefing, followed by an introduction to snowmobiling. After you've put on your helmet, the fun starts!
You'll set out into the snowy winter landscapes and feel an adrenaline rush as you traverse the magnificent Arctic tundra on this 110 km (68 miles) tour. The goal of the excursion is also to reach the border cairn of Finland and Norway. An amazing photo opportunity that your guide will capture! If luck is on your side, you'll reach the summit of the Halti Fell and be treated to a spectacular view of landscapes up to 40 km away (25 miles). With several stops for breaks, you'll enjoy hot drinks and pastries (a lunch option is available for an additional fee). At the end of the day, you'll return to Kilpisjärvi with lifelong memories of your time in Finnish Lapland!
