Experience the magic of the Northern Lights on a thrilling snowmobile safari from Kilpisjärvi in Enontekiö. Participants can choose between single-driver, shared snowmobiles, or snowmobile sled options. All levels of experience are welcome!
Located in northwestern Finland (Finnish Lapland), the village of Kilpisjärvi is situated near the "most peaceful border in the world" of both Sweden and Norway. This area is known for its stunning Arctic wilderness, fells, and lakes, and is one of the best places in the world to take in the awe-inspiring colours of the Northern Lights!
Your adventure begins in Kilpisjärvi at one of the listed meeting points (please specify when booking). From there, you and your group (a maximum of 30 participants) will board the transfer to the Kilpissafarit base where you will be greeted by your expert instructor. With your winter gear on (thermal overalls, boots, wool socks, mittens, and a balaclava), you will receive a safety briefing and an introduction to snowmobiling. Then, with your helmet on, you'll set off into the Arctic wilderness of Finnish Lapland in search of the best spots to take in the Northern Lights.
After a short distance, you'll stop for a break to admire the Aurora Borealis around a campfire and will be treated to hot drinks and pastries. The perfect way to warm up on a chilly evening in the Arctic! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. In addition, your guide will capture the moment by taking photos of the excursion. You'll return to the original departure point in Kilpisjärvi with memories that will last a lifetime, and, perhaps a newfound love of snowmobiling!

* If you are arriving to the meeting point from Norway, please be advised that there is a one-hour difference. Therefore, you will need to begin one hour in advance, as Norway and Finland have one-hour time difference.

Activity requirements
Please be advised that a minimum of 4 participants is required in order to run this activity.
In addition, children under 135 cm (4'4") are seated on a sleigh pulled by the guide's snowmobile. However, children taller than 135 cm (4'4") can sit on a snowmobile as a passenger.
Special terms
Since the Northern Lights are an unpredictable natural phenomenon, their presence is never guaranteed.
