Santorini is a popular Greek island located in the southern Aegean Sea. Renowned for its dramatic vistas and iconic architecture, Santorini is just as spectacular below the surface! Home to active underwater volcanoes, technicolour reefs and stunning marine life, this is an ideal location to try your first scuba diving experience.

To start your adventure, you'll meet the certified instructor at the dive centre in Thira (transfer from your accommodation in Santorini is included, please specify your location upon booking). The activity is run from Caldera Beach, renowned for its red sand and distinctive blue dome architecture. The beach is accessible to plenty of beginner dive sites, including Remezzo Reef, Adiavati Reef and Gialos Reef.

Choose from a one-dive or two-dive package, suitable for beginners of all abilities. You will learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank. Once you've gone through the essentials with your instructor, you'll head to the boat for a shallow dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters (39 feet).

On this supervised dive, you'll get to explore the local reef and coral gardens, observing marine life like nudibranchs, invertebrates, crabs, shrimp, eels, seahorses and colourful reef fish. There is also the option for a second dive for those looking to explore further - travelling out to Gialos Reef. The crystal-clear waters in Santorini provide optimal conditions for scuba diving! At the end of the dive, you'll return to the centre at Caldera Beach.
