Durmitor National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the northwestern part of Montenegro. The park is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, characterised by rugged mountain peaks, deep river canyons, and dense forests. A jeep safari is the perfect way to explore this natural park off the beaten track!

The tour begins at the starting point in Plužine (you also have the option of meeting the guide at the base camp in Bosnia). The experienced guide will pick you up in the comfortable 4x4 Jeep. Then, you’ll set off driving to Durmitor National Park. Along the way, you’ll pass the canyon Sušica, which forms the border between the Durmitor and Piva mountains, before arriving in Žabljak. Enjoy the scenic drive and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

From Žabljak, you’ll drive through the villages of Pišče and Vojinovići before arriving in the heart of Durmitor. You’ll pass sites Bobotov Kuk, Prutaš Rock, and glacial lakes. In the park, you’ll explore the amazing natural beauty. The park is home to a diverse array of plant and animal species, including rare and endemic species.  

You’ll continue driving through the small cultural villages of Durmitor, including the eco-village Trsa, and Plužine. A delicious packed lunch will be provided on the go for you to enjoy (please inform of any dietary requirements when booking). After taking in the mesmerising sights and learning more about the history of Durmitor, you’ll drive back to the starting point in Plužine.
