Course of events
Please allow 2 hours in total for this activity.
- Arrival at the meeting point near the Piva canyon road (5–10 min)
- Welcome by the certified local guide and activity overview (5 min)
- Distribution and fitting of via ferrata equipment (helmet, harness, lanyard) (10–15 min)
- Safety briefing and explanation of clipping techniques and movement on the cable (10 min)
- Short walk from the road to the via ferrata entry point (10–15 min)
- Start of the via ferrata route above the Piva River with continuous guide supervision (60–90 min)
- Sections with ladders, steel cables, and exposed canyon views (during the climb)
- Short breaks for rest, hydration, and photos at safe spots (10–15 min total)
- Completion of the route and exit from the via ferrata (5 min)
- Walk back to the meeting point along the access path (10–15 min)
- Return of equipment and end of the activity (5 min)

A minimum number of 4 participants is required to run this activity.

Please note that there is no official parking lot. You can safely park along the roadside on a widened area near the via ferrata entrance. There are no toilet facilities available nearby.

A thrilling blend of hiking and climbing, via ferrata follows a protected route fitted with fixed cables and features such as steps and steel rungs. No previous experience is required: a professional guide with expert knowledge of the Piva Canyon will accompany you throughout, adjusting the pace to ensure a rewarding and unforgettable experience.
