Kids’ canyoning in the Verdon in Rayaup Ravine in Castellane

• Meeting & welcome near Castellane

You’ll meet your instructor 10 minutes before the selected time, just outside Castellane. Children are warmly welcomed, and everyone receives their gear for the activity.

• Short approach walk to the canyon

A 5-minute walk leads the group to the Rayaup Ravine, a peaceful and sunlit section of the Verdon region, specially chosen for young children. The instructor explains the basics of canyoning and ensures everyone feels safe and excited to start.

• Start of the canyoning adventure

The descent begins with calm sections, allowing children to get familiar with the water and their surroundings. The route is progressive and designed to build confidence.

• Fun in the water! Throughout the 1h15 adventure, kids will enjoy:
  • Mini jumps from 50 cm to 1.5 m, always optional
  • Short, smooth natural slides (2 metres max)
  • Shallow pools and calm sections for floating, wading, and water play
• Learning through adventure

As the children explore, the instructor shares playful facts about water flow, rock formations, and local nature, turning this into a fun and educational experience.

• End of the descent and short return walk

After the final splash, the group walks 5 minutes back to the starting point. Gear is returned, and kids can dry off and share their favourite moments.

• Optional souvenir photos

A photo package is available on site (€7.5/person), a great way to capture this first canyoning memory in the Verdon region!

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.
