Santorini is a stunning island located in the southern Aegean Sea, forming part of the Cyclades archipelago in Greece. It is famous for its dramatic landscapes, with cliffs overlooking the deep blue sea, black-sand beaches, and remnants of an ancient volcanic caldera.
For this activity, you'll be picked up from your accommodation in Santorini (please specify your location upon booking). The journey begins at Kampia Beach, a beautiful beach on the southeastern coast of Santorini known for its pristine waters, soft black sand, and tranquil atmosphere. You'll meet the certified instructor and go through a safety briefing. After receiving your kayak, paddle and safety equipment, you'll launch into the water and learn some paddling instructions. Then, the sea kayaking adventure begins!
Immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring natural beauty of Santorini's volcanic valley while you glide along the Akrotiri coastline. The first site you'll pass is the renowned Red Beach, one of the most iconic attractions on the island's south coast, named after its scarlet-coloured sand and cliffs. Next, you'll pass by the charming White Beach and Mesa Pigadia, two more stunning beaches on the south coast.
You'll take a break at the beaches for a refreshing swim and an exciting snorkelling adventure. Then, you'll enjoy a delicious beach picnic in this serene setting. The adventure continues to the final destination, the enchanting 'Black Mountain', where you'll encounter a myriad of hidden caves and unique rock formations. The sea kayaking excursion ends back at the starting point at Kampia Beach in Santorini. The guide will then transfer you to your accommodation on the island.

The total duration of the tour is 7 hours, transportation and safety briefing are included. Breaks are scheduled as necessary to regroup, hydrate, and rest. A stop for swimming and snorkelling and a 1.5-hour picnic are also included.

Activity requirements
Basic swimming skills are required for this activity.
The maximum capacity for a double kayak is 280 kg. You should be flexible to get in and out of the kayak, as well as to step on the rocks.
The minimum age requirement is 14 years old, as younger kids may find paddling tiring. However, exceptions can be made if parents are in great shape and able to paddle on behalf of their children.
No prior kayaking experience is required as the sea kayaks are stable, and the basic technique is easy to pick up. Physical activity is necessary, and by the end of the tour, you should expect to feel tired.
