Chartreuse Mountains are located in the southeast of France and stretch from Grenoble to Lake Bourget. The highest summit sits at an altitude of 2,082 metres.

Two of the most popular activities here are hiking and trekking along the 1,300 km of groomed trails, providing you with exceptional panoramas and backdrops.

The mountain face has become a well-known hangout for climbers, whereas the caves are being sought out for expeditions throughout the summer. Some of the most famous climbing routes are: Dent de Crolles, Rocher du Midi and Mont Granier

The creation of the National Park of Chartreuse not only enabled the preservation of the lush natural environment, but also attracted tourists from around the globe.

The winter period offers a great range of snow based activities such as: alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ski-touring, freestyle skiing, snowshoeing and sledging.
